Dr. Chi-Ming Chow

Dr. Chi-Ming Chow earned a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Science in epidemiology at McGill University and completed an echocardiography fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University. Dr. Chow is an attending staff cardiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital, directing the Echocardiography Laboratory, and a full professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Chow specialises in non-invasive cardiac imaging, particularly echocardiography and stress echocardiography, which show how the heart is built and how well it is working. A past president of the Canadian Society of Echocardiography and an award-winning teacher, Dr. Chow now studies how artificial intelligence can improve cardiac imaging. Dr. Chow takes care to get each diagnosis right, since the rest of a patient’s cardiac care depends on it.
